Known nationwide for its Halal ramen, SHINJUKU-TEI has earned strong support from Muslim guests across Japan. Now, the brand proudly launches its first washoku restaurant, bringing authentic Japanese cuisine to a wider audience.
The idea for the restaurant came from recognizing that many Muslim visitors to Japan still don’t have enough opportunities to enjoy authentic Japanese cuisine with peace of mind. Wanting to change that, the team created a place where Muslim guests can fully experience the flavors of washoku, with a special focus on wagyu dishes such as yakiniku steak and gyu-katsu.
Every dish at the restaurant features either A5-grade Halal wagyu beef or Halal-certified chicken, carefully selected for both quality and peace of mind. Great attention is paid not only to the ingredients, but also to the cooking methods and presentation—ensuring that each dish is served in its most delicious form.
